    2. This is a true masterpiece. Personally I love Dickens but often his characters are two dimensional and almost instantly forgettable. Thackerary creates full flawed human characters and his sense of humour is satirical but never too cruel. If you haven't met Becky Sharpe or Dobbin you're in for a treat. Read the first chapter and you're hooked. A real good read.

    4. Great book, a true classic in every sense. I will read this book again some day and enjoy it as thoroughly as the first time.

    7. It is fabulous! The characters are very alive. The author knows the human nature very well and indeed, his paradigms of behaviour are universal in time and space.
